More confidence in how you respond
Many parents feel clearer about what helps their child. Over time, it becomes easier to know what to say in hard moments.
Speek Ally is a structured support programme for parents and carers, guided by experienced clinical psychologists. Practical, empathetic help so you feel steadier, better informed, and less alone.

We’ve had a long few years helping her and this is the best support we’ve had.
A safe and private space where you can learn, ask questions, and get support. Designed to support you in your role — it does not provide therapy for your child.

When you join Speek Ally, you get access to all of this — used in a way that fits around your life. Most parents find 15-30 minutes a week is enough to make progress.
Speek Ally is built to shift how supported you feel — day-to-day, in the hardest moments, and over time. Here’s what parents tell us changes.

As things start to feel clearer, overwhelm can reduce. Parents often feel steadier when emotions run high.
Many parents realise they're not the only one going through this. Support from clinicians and other parents can make things feel less heavy.
On finding her footingI think I would be in quite a different place if I hadn't joined Speek. I think I would still be nervous. I would still be scared.
After that, it’s £50 per month. No contract. You can stop at any time.
Speek Ally is designed for you, the parent or carer of a young person who self-harms. Many young people aren't ready for help, and even when they do receive professional support, families are often left out. Speek fills that gap — giving you the guidance, tools, and confidence to feel more grounded, so you can create the calm and stability your young person needs.
Speek Ally isn't therapy for you or your child. It's a structured programme that combines guided learning, regular calls with a clinician, secure messaging, and a parent community. The focus is on practical, in-the-moment skills you can use at home — not a clinical diagnosis or treatment plan.
The programme is designed to fit around your life. Modules are short and you can use them in small pieces. Calls with your clinician are scheduled around you. Most parents find 15-30 minutes a week is enough to make progress.
Yes. Many of the young people whose parents use Speek are autistic, have ADHD, or are otherwise neurodivergent. Our clinicians' approach takes that into account — including how self-harm and emotional distress can show up differently, and what that means for how you respond.
Speek is led by Dr Olivia Collier, a consultant clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience working with young people in self-harm and crisis. The programme is built on DBT, a therapy approach with strong evidence for young people who self-harm and their families. We work in partnership with NELFT, ELFT, and Black Country Healthcare.
We don't share your information with anyone, including the NHS, without your consent. Everything discussed in calls or on the platform is confidential, except in situations where we have a serious concern about safety — and we'll always tell you if that applies. Your data is kept secure to NHS standards.
